Old to New in Urmston
Urmston, Greater Manchester (July 2018)

A contemporary low maintenance garden was created whilst keeping some of the layout elements of this traditional suburban garden. Porcelain paving, rendered walls, lighting, water blade, planting, seating, fence improvements & new lawns were just some of the new elements incorporated to create a garden that the homeowners are delighted with, and feel better able than ever to maintain and enjoy.

Modern Living in Mere
Mere, Knutsford (August 2018)

7metre long reflection pool, fibre glass lined over reinforced concrete, with remote controlled blade water feature and porcelain stepping stones, set in the foreground to a bespoke shou sugi ban cedar pergola, constructed over a cantilevered steel support frame, partially constructed off site from 80mm galvanised box steel, together with shou sugi ban cedar slat fencing and bench.

This was beautifully complimented by the contemporary outdoor kitchen with corian worktop, stainless steel drawer unit, “big green egg” barbecue with cedar slat finish. Existing and new walls were rendered with k rend finish.

All of this was surrounded by beautiful marshalls symphony porcelain paving, laid in a brick bond between elegantly designed planted areas, including the use of bespoke fibreglass planters. Finally, the use of subtle led lighting, including 3x underwater lights provided all year round accessibility, as well as enhancing the features of the garden.

Narrow Garden Transformation
Speke, Liverpool (September 2017)

The brief was to turn a cluttered and unwelcoming space into an all year round family extension of the home for playing, dining and relaxing.

Low maintenance and highly durable porcelain paving and artificial grass were chosen to enable the garden to be used in all weathers throughout the year.

The demolished out house brickwork was retained as the only original feature with a living wall added. Silicone rendered planters with limited plant variety gives a uniformity and balance to the garden, while the large bench and sunken fire pit at the rear provides a space for entertaining guests. Slat fencing and lighting provide a backdrop which is both contemporary, private and easy to maintain.

This retired couple wanted to create a garden that was attractive, easy to manage & enjoyable for relaxing and entertaining grandchildren.

New fences were erected, railway sleepers were used to create curved raised beds, an artificial grass section of lawn to house play equipment was installed, sandstone paving with pergola, and resin bound gravel pathways were used to create a garden with good variety, colour & usability.

This customer had a very clear idea about the layout for a new patio. After dicussing the options for different materials with us, they opted for this beautiful range of sawn sandstone paving, complimented by bullnose sawn sandstone steps & pitched face sandstone walling. Container Planting
1st Floor Atrium, Apartment Complex, Manchester City Centre (September 2014)

For this commercial project, bespoke fibreglass containers were manufactured off site, with brackets fitted for timber seating. Specimen plants were imported and delivered to site. Approx 20 tonnes of materials were transported by hand to the 1st floor covered atrium and specialist lifting equipment was used to get the 500kg box balls into position. The end result is a beautiful communal seating area for the residents of this city centre apartment complex.

Decking, Turfing, Planters & Covered Play Area
Newton-le-Willows (August 2014)

This family were depressed with their sloping, overlooked, boggy garden. We improved drainage & constructed a sizeable decked seating area. Planters with tall bamboo for privacy were added, and an unused corner of the garden was transformed into a covered play area. A second decked area was installed, fences were painted, and a new, level, hard wearing, turfed lawn was added to create a family friendly, low maintenance attractive garden that is now used throughout the year.

All Weather Sports Pitch & Fencing
Widnes, Cheshire (June, 2014)

This FE college had an unsafe, partly unusable astro turf pitch laid only a few years earlier, but due to poor installtion it had become redundant. The cheap, rusting fence was removed and replaced with purpose built twin wire rebound sports mesh, with high quality ball-stop netting surround. A Sport England Approved type 4 highly durable multi-use sports pitch was installed in matching blue colour to complement the other building work being carried out on site. The college students and staff are delighted with the finished product.

Driveway Installation
Woolton, Liverpool (May 2014)

This original tarmac driveway was starting to break up and was holding a lot of dirt, so the customer opted for Drivesys Split Stone blocks, which give a very high quality finish, with a specialist resin based jointing compound to ensure no weeds penetrate, even after a number of years. The end result is a durable, attractive, low maintenance, weed free driveway (and a far superior alternative to imprinted concrete)!
